Obituary for Kenneth G. Walker, Sr.

Kenneth G. Walker, 75, passed away on Sept. 11, 2017.
Kenneth was born in Akron, OH, to the late Arley and Edna (Hoover) Walker and lived in the Green area most of his life. He was a faithful member of the First Church of the Brethren in Firestone Park and the Portage Lakes Masonic Lodge. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and going to car shows in his 1965 Oldsmobile 442 with his buddies, Denny, Jerry and Joe.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Robert and Eleanor Steiner; and sister, Janet DaMico. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy of 57 years; sons, Kenneth Walker Jr. and Michael (Shannon) Walker; grandchildren, Hannah and Cade; sisters-in-law, Sandy (Denny) Carson and Debbie (Glenn) Cook; sister, Lois (Eugene) Jackson; brother-in-law, Nick DaMico; faithful dog and best friend, Tippy; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral and Masonic Services will be Monday, 1:00 pm at H B Moore Funeral Home, 936 North Main Street, Akron, OH 44310 (corner of N. Main St. and Mildred Ave.). Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Kenneth's final resting place will be Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Church of the Brethren, 1812 Marigold Ave, Akron, OH 44301.
