Obituary for: Nicholas J. Stohovitch

Nicholas J. Stohovitch, 95, passed away on June 10, 2017.
Nicholas was born in Baxter, WV, to the late Michael and Susan (Novanti) Stohovitch and lived in the Akron area most of his life, was a faithful member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and served in the US Coast Guard during World War II. He came from the West Virginia coal mines to work at Ford Motor Co.’s, Walton Hill Stamping Plant where he retired with 28 years of faithful service, never missing a day. Till his dying day, he believed God created the Ford Motor Co. on the 8th day!
In addition to his parents, Nicholas is preceded in death by his loving wife, Rose Marie Stohovitch; and 9 siblings. He is survived by sons, Michael (Kathy) and Steve (Carmen) Stohovitch; daughters, Rose Mary Stohovitch and Sue (Jim) Rife; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, 10:00 am at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 44 University Ave., Akron, OH 44308 with Father Dan Reed, Celebrant. Visitation will be Tuesday from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at H B Moore Funeral Home, 936 N. Main St., Akron (corner of N. Main St. and Mildred Ave.). Nicholas' final resting place will be Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or St. Bernard Catholic Church Memorial Trust Fund.
