Obituary for Ronald M. Earvin

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Ronald M. Earvin, 73, passed away on Dec. 18, 2017 at University Hospitals in Cleveland after a brief illness.
Ron was a survivor of heart bypass surgery and lymphoma.
Ron had retired from sales in the food industry including Campbell Soup, Keebler Cookies and Chicken of the Sea Seafood. His dream retirement job was a starter on the South Course of Firestone Country Club where he worked for the last 10 years. In the winter he drove cars for Don Sitts Auto.
Ron was an active, much loved, member of Redeemer North Hill United Methodist Church, a church his great-grandmother founded over 100 years ago. He was a member of Masonic Star Lodge 187. Ron’s passion in life was golf and loved his annual trip to Myrtle Beach with his golfing buddies and son for the past 43 years. Ron never met a glass of fine wine or a Manhattan that he didn’t like. Ron graduated from Stow High School in 1962 where he played football and attended Kent State University.
Ron was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Fern Germano; aunt, Louise Steele; and his in-laws, Jack and Alice Turner. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jill (Turner); daughter, Amy McCambridge; son, Eric and his wife, Kelly. His 3 grandsons, Ryan McCambridge and Jack and Mason Earvin will miss him forever. Ron leaves behind his sisters, Diane Cowell (Dave Ellis) of Statesville, NC; Cheryl Germano Smith (Patrick) of Stow; and his brother, Rick (Debra) Germano of Kent; many nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane and Bob Uber and Judy and Fred Abood; other family members and friends from high school, his golfing buddies, people he worked with and his church family.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, 11:00 am at HB Moore Funeral Home, 936 N. Main Street, Akron, Ohio 44310 (corner of N. Main St. and Mildred Ave.) with his Pastor, Joyce Fast, officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at H B Moore Funeral Home with a Masonic service conducted by Star Lodge 187 F and A M.
