George A. Giancarli

June 24, 1924 - April 4, 2021

George passed away peacefully at home on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021. He was able to have visits from family during this time.

George loved to tell lots of stories especially at his two favorite breakfast places, Akron Family Restaurant and Fred’s Diner. His favorite story to tell was when he was a Marine and returned home from World War II to find the neighborhood girl, Dolly, all grown up. They dated 10 years, married, and had four children together. Genesis 2:24

George will join his son, Brian and daughter, Jamie Brown, along with other family members, in paradise. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dolores (Dolly); son, Mark (Michelle); granddaughters, Leah (Tyler) Mahaffey, Audra; son-in-law Jeff Brown; daughter, Gail (Mark) Yakubowski; grandchildren, Katherine, Amy (Cody), Tom (Jessica), Anna; brother-in-law, Alan (Laura) Martin; nephews Chris (Julie), Shawn, Brian.

There will be a private service for family.
