Joseph Murdocco, 77 passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. He was born on March 15, 1944 in Caulonia, Italy to the late Vincenzo and Filomenia Murdocco. Joseph joined his father and older brother, Vince in the US in 1958 with his mother and siblings on the US Constitution. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

Joseph established a family and worked in the cement finishing industry for 32 years before retiring. He was caretaker of the Tudor House for 8 years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting with family and friends. He loved gardening, cooking, and feeding people. His secret ingredient was love and he was never without a song.

Joseph was preceded in death by his brother, Vince (Josephine) Murdocco; brother-in-law, Vito Sestito; sister, Maria Sgotto; and many other beloved family members.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Vicki; children, Andrea Murdocco, Vincenzo Murdocco (Kim), Damian (Pam) Boyle, Angie (James) Gilchrist; grandchildren, Erica, Stefano, Joseph, Roslyn, Hailey, James; siblings, Isadore (Sue) Murdocco, Rose Sestito, and Antonio (Jean) Murdocco; and countless other family members and loved ones.

The family will greet friends at Hennessy Bagnoli Moore Funeral Home, 936 N. Main St., Akron, Ohio 44310 on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 10 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
